Languedoc Roussillon is one of the ultimate places to be if you want to taste unique wines of high quality. This land is the biggest wine-producing region in France which produces more than a third of the grapes in France and in 2001 made more wine than the entire United States!<\/p>\n

The Chateau Rieutort is surrounded by immense vineyards offering its guests peace, quiet and fascinating wines. The land in here has been cultivated for wine production for centuries. Since 1997 it has been under the expert’s eyes of the Nivollet family – owners of Blanville: www.blanville.com<\/a><\/p>\n

When Karina & Peter bought the chateau in 2012, they knew they could not make a wine of the same quality themselves. They left their 25ha in the good day to day hands of Blanville who continues their amazing work astonishing Chateau guests with the vibrant range of wines available.<\/p>\n

During your stay at the Chateau you are most welcome to stroll in the Chateau’s vineyards among Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Vermentino and Chardonay vines.<\/p>\n

A visit to the winery where Blanville makes their magic to transform the grapes into excellent wines is available on a daily basis at 18:30 and free of charge for the guests of the chateau. Visitors who do not stay at the chateau need to prebook their visit (between 11:00 and 18:30) at \u20ac15 per person. Groups (max 12 guests) are welcome between 11:00 and 17:00. For groups larger than 12 guests please contact us for availability. After the visit to the winery, you will be invited to taste some of the products of Rieutort & Blanville’s pride: wines of “Vicomte d’Amulas”, IGP Pays d’Oc, AOP Languedoc, Gres de Montpellier; refreshing Vermentino, earthy Cabernet, mineral Chardonnay, breath taking Syrah, mysterious Mourvedre, fruity Grenache…<\/p>\n

Get ready for an explosion of tastes and fragrances in the magical world of wine.<\/p>\n

Don’t worry, you may take a bit of Languedoc home with you. On site wine shop allows you to buy everything you will taste. It is also possible to order wine and have it shipped to your door.<\/p>\n
